Call for Applications: QEDA Youth Vanguards for Education (YVE) Fellowship Program 2026 Admin, July 10, 2026July 10, 2026 Are you a young, passionate Nigerian eager to advance education reform in Nigeria? Quality Education Development Associates (QEDA), in partnership with the Federal Ministry of Youth Development, Unveiling Africa, and SEED Care & Support Foundation, is excited to announce the Call for Applications for the Youth Vanguards for Education (YVE) Fellowship Program 2026. About the YVE Fellowship Education is a major pillar of human capital development. Yet, Nigeria’s education indices are significantly low. Over 70% of Nigerian children experience learning poverty. And, while youths are generally driving sustainable development across several sectors, their presence is significantly lower for education-related advocacy. This fellowship aims to bridge these demand and supply gaps by empowering a generation of young change-makers with the knowledge, skills, and opportunities to advocate for education reform in Nigeria. The YVE Fellowship is a six-month program designed to empower young Nigerians to drive impactful reform in the field of education. Youths will be empowered with evidence-based knowledge, skills, resources, and opportunities that will enable them to make informed decisions about their roles as agents of education development in Nigeria, especially through advocacy and innovation to gain first-hand experience. Through a 2-month comprehensive virtual training and a school immersion internship, fellows will become equipped to drive education reform at scale. Successful candidates will engage with mentors and fellow youth vanguards to collaboratively build capacity to effect change within the education sector. Program Structure Phase One: Virtual Training (2 Months)Participants will undergo comprehensive virtual training covering: Soft skills development Africanization Leadership School Safeguarding Climate Education Advocacy Early Grade Reading This training will facilitate your smooth transition into Phase Two. Phase Two: School Immersion & Pet ProjectFellows will participate in a school immersion program and implement a pet project of their choice, applying the knowledge gained during training. Eligibility Criteria To be considered for the YVE Fellowship, applicants must meet the following criteria: Must be a Nigerian youth aged 18 to 32 years. Availability to fully engage in all aspects of the program, including 6 hours of online sessions per week and a full-term school immersion program. Demonstrated interest and commitment towards education reform. Strong commitment to hands-on leadership and career advancement. Great communication and interpersonal skills.
