In celebration of its 160th anniversary, the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), in collaboration with the Government of Canada, is launching the ITU160 Gender Champions initiative. This global opportunity seeks to recognize and empower nine outstanding young women (ages 18 – 25) who are actively contributing to digital transformation and development worldwide.

If you are passionate about driving change in the digital landscape and advocating for gender equality in technology, this initiative offers a unique platform to amplify your work and connect with global leaders in the field.

As an ITU160 Gender Champion, you will receive full sponsorship, covering travel and accommodation, to participate in prestigious international events in Geneva, Switzerland, from July 7 – 11, 2025. These events include:

• Indigenous communities
• Young women with disabilities

This initiative values diverse perspectives and aims to include voices that are often underrepresented in the global digital landscape.
