Dignified Menstruation Global Fellowship 2026 (Virtual) – Apply Now

Admin, June 8, 2026June 8, 2026

Applications are now open for the Dignified Menstruation Global Fellowship 2026, a six-month virtual program designed for passionate changemakers across the world. Organized by the Global South Coalition for Dignified Menstruation (GSCDM) , this fellowship is not about periods alone—it is about dignity, human rights, and the entire life cycle of menstruators.

While many initiatives still focus narrowly on hygiene, this fellowship dares to ask a bigger question: What if menstruation is actually a lifelong lens for justice? From climate displacement to gender-based violence, from adolescent access to post-menopausal care—this program connects menstrual dignity to the most pressing issues of our time.

For African youth, grassroots organizers, and global South advocates, this is a rare opportunity to receive mentorship from global experts without leaving your community. Best of all, it is completely free and open to applicants worldwide.

About the Program

The Global South Coalition for Dignified Menstruation (GSCDM) is a global network formed to change the narrative around menstruation—from “five days of bleeding” to a life cycle approach. Their vision is bold: a society where all menstruators within all identities live with dignity throughout their life cycle.

The Dignified Menstruation Global Fellowship 2026 is a volunteer fellowship running from July to December 2026. Selected fellows will undergo comprehensive training, mentorship, and coaching on dignified menstruation, with strong intersections in:

  • Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR)
  • Climate change and environmental justice
  • Gender-based violence (GBV)
  • Social inclusion and survivor-centered approaches

The program is fully virtual, making it accessible to anyone with a stable internet connection. It is ideal for students, nonprofit workers, community health volunteers, researchers, and activists who want to deepen their expertise while collaborating with a global cohort.

Note: This is a voluntary fellowship with no financial support. Applicants should be driven by mission, not monetary reward.

What Selected Fellows Will Receive

While the fellowship does not offer a stipend, the non-monetary benefits are substantial and career-shaping:

  • Comprehensive learning on Dignified Menstruation, including human rights frameworks, intersectional advocacy, and the life cycle approach.
  • Mentorship and coaching from global experts in SRHR, climate justice, and gender-based violence.
  • Campaign design and implementation experience—fellows move from theory to action.
  • Collaborative engagement with advocates from multiple countries, building a lasting professional network.
  • A certificate of completion and recognition within GSCDM’s global network.
  • Access to resources, toolkits, and advocacy templates used by leading organizations.
