Claude Campus Ambassador Program 2026: $3,600 Stipend, AI Credits and Global Community

Admin, September 7, 2026September 7, 2026

Application Deadline: September 12, 2026

Applications are now open for the Claude Campus Ambassador Program 2026, an initiative designed for students and researchers who want to build stronger artificial intelligence communities within their universities.

The program offers selected ambassadors a $3,600 stipend, Anthropic API credits, access to guest speakers and opportunities to connect with a global community of AI-focused campus leaders.

For students and researchers in Africa and around the world, the opportunity is particularly relevant as universities increasingly prepare young people for an economy shaped by artificial intelligence. Beyond financial support, the program offers practical experience in leadership, community building, technology education and AI innovation.

The program runs for the 2026–2027 academic year, from September 2026 to June 2027. Applications are reportedly reviewed on a rolling basis, making early application important.

About the Claude Campus Ambassador Program

The Claude Campus Ambassador Program supports students and researchers who want to introduce more people on their campuses to responsible and practical uses of AI.

Rather than simply participating in AI activities, ambassadors are expected to lead communities, organize events and help other students develop AI fluency.

The program has three main tracks:

Claude Builder Clubs

Undergraduate students can lead campus communities where students explore AI through projects, workshops, hackathons and demonstrations.

Campus Conversations

Graduate students can organize discussions about AI, education, society and its wider implications. The track is suitable for students interested in exploring the social and human dimensions of AI.

Claude Science Workshops

PhD students and postdoctoral researchers can organize workshops showing how AI can support scientific research and help researchers explore emerging applications.

Benefits

Selected ambassadors can receive:

  • $3,600 cash stipend, subject to program terms.
  • Anthropic API credits for AI experimentation and projects.
  • Access to Anthropic guest speakers and related events.
  • Opportunities to connect with a global ambassador community.
  • Practical experience leading AI-focused initiatives.
  • Opportunities to organize workshops, discussions, hackathons and demonstrations.
  • Greater exposure to developments in artificial intelligence and its applications.

For students hoping to build careers in technology, research, education or innovation, the leadership experience may be as valuable as the financial benefit.

Who Can Apply?

According to the program information provided, applicants should:

  • Be 18 years or older.
  • Be a student or researcher at a university.
  • Have authorization to participate/work in the country where they are studying.
  • Be interested in AI, community building, research, education or technology.
  • Be able to organize and lead activities within their university community.

The undergraduate track is aimed at students interested in building with AI, while graduate students, PhD candidates and postdoctoral researchers have tracks focused on AI discussions and scientific applications.

Application Process and Deadline

Interested applicants should review the program requirements carefully and select the track that best matches their academic level and interests.

Prepare examples demonstrating your leadership, previous community activities, technical interests or experience organizing events. Your application should also explain what you would like to accomplish on your campus.

Application deadline: September 12, 2026.

Program period: September 2026 – June 2027.

Application: Applicants should use the official Anthropic program page and verify that the application form specifically refers to the Claude Campus Ambassador Program before submitting.

Important: OpportunityPool.org recommends verifying the deadline and application page directly with Anthropic before publication or application, as official Anthropic pages currently available online prominently feature other Claude programs.

Why You Should Apply

This opportunity is worth considering if you want to move beyond simply using AI tools and become someone who helps others understand and apply AI.

For African students in particular, campus leadership opportunities around emerging technologies can help strengthen digital skills, create peer-learning communities and expose students to global technology networks.

Application Tips

Show leadership, not just interest. Saying that you love AI is not enough. Explain what you have already done or what you plan to organize.

Present a practical campus idea. Consider proposing an AI workshop series, student builder club, research community, hackathon or discussion forum.

Connect AI to real needs. Strong applications can demonstrate how AI learning could benefit students, researchers or the wider university community.

Use specific examples. Instead of saying “I am a good leader,” describe an event, project, club or initiative you organized and the results achieved.

Apply early. If applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, submitting early may help you avoid last-minute problems.

Conclusion

The Claude Campus Ambassador Program 2026 offers more than a stipend. It provides an opportunity to develop AI leadership, community-building and technology engagement skills while helping other students explore one of the most important technologies shaping the future.

If you are a student or researcher passionate about AI and have a strong idea for building an AI community on your campus, consider applying before the deadline.
