Apply Now: Tara’s Circle 2026 Offers €10,000–€100,000 for Women-Led Impact Projects

Admin, August 31, 2026August 31, 2026

Application deadline: 17 September 2026

Applications are now open for Tara’s Circle 2026, an international opportunity supporting women-led initiatives that are creating measurable social, environmental, or economic impact. The programme will provide 15 cash awards worth up to €100,000 in total.

For women founders, entrepreneurs, innovators, and changemakers in Africa and beyond, the opportunity offers a chance to secure funding while gaining recognition for solutions addressing important community and global challenges.

Tara’s Circle is particularly relevant to women developing early-stage solutions in areas such as technology, education, healthcare, sustainability, climate action, social innovation, and culture.

With applications closing on 17 September 2026, eligible applicants should begin preparing their submissions early and clearly demonstrate the impact and potential of their projects.

About Tara’s Circle 2026

Tara’s Circle is an initiative of Tara for Women designed to recognise and support women-led projects with the potential to generate meaningful and sustainable impact.

The 2026 call focuses on five thematic areas:

  1. Sustainability, Environment and Mobility – including circular economy, clean energy, climate adaptation, biodiversity, waste management, sustainable mobility, and decarbonisation.
  2. Health and Well-Being – including preventive healthcare, mental health, women’s health, caregiving, and equitable access to healthcare.
  3. Social Innovation, Education and Community Development – including social entrepreneurship, inclusive education, workforce development, community innovation, and support for vulnerable populations.
  4. Technology and Science – including artificial intelligence, software, mobile applications, data analytics, automation, cloud computing, and other emerging technologies.
  5. Design, Culture and Impact-Driven Fashion – including sustainable fashion, responsible design, cultural initiatives, heritage preservation, and innovative cultural production.

The programme is designed for seed-stage initiatives that already have a defined or functional minimum viable product (MVP) and demonstrate potential for scalability and sustainability.

What Winners Can Receive

A total of 15 projects will be selected, with three winners in each thematic category.

  •  First place: €10,000
  • Second place: €6,000
  • Third place: €4,000
  • €20,000 available per thematic area
  • Up to €100,000 in total awards
  • International exposure and recognition for women-led impact initiatives

The funding can provide valuable capital for strengthening an early-stage solution, expanding operations, testing a business model, improving a product, or increasing impact.

Who Can Apply?

Applicants should meet the following requirements:

  • Be a woman aged 18 or older at the time of application.
  • Be the founder or co-founder of the project.
  • Play an active leadership role in the initiative.
  • Have a seed-stage project with a defined or functional MVP.
  • Demonstrate measurable social, environmental, or economic impact.
  • Show potential for growth, scalability, and long-term sustainability.
  • Operate at either national or international level.
  • Be able to receive funding through lawful and applicable financial mechanisms.

There are no geographical restrictions, meaning eligible women from African countries, including Nigeria, can apply. However, funding transfers remain subject to applicable laws, regulations, sanctions, and available payment mechanisms.

How to Apply and Deadline

Eligible applicants should review the official call carefully and prepare information demonstrating their project’s purpose, existing solution, impact, leadership, and potential for growth.

Application deadline: 17 September 2026

Applicants should avoid waiting until the final day. Reviewing the requirements early allows time to strengthen the project narrative and check that all required information is complete.

Why You Should Apply: Practical Tips

This opportunity is especially valuable for women whose projects have moved beyond the idea stage but still need capital to achieve their next level of growth.

Before submitting your application, consider these tips:

1. Explain the problem clearly

Show that you understand the problem your project addresses. Use evidence, examples, or data where available rather than relying on broad statements.

2. Demonstrate that your solution works

Because the call targets projects with a defined or functional MVP, explain what you have already developed, tested, delivered, or learned.

3. Quantify your impact

Instead of simply saying your project “helps women” or “supports communities,” provide measurable indicators such as people reached, jobs created, learners trained, waste reduced, or services delivered.

4. Make your funding story convincing

Explain what additional funding will enable you to accomplish. Connect the proposed use of funds directly to measurable growth or impact.

5. Highlight your leadership

Show why you are the right person to lead the initiative. Describe your experience, commitment, and understanding of the community or market you serve.

Conclusion

Tara’s Circle 2026 offers women-led impact projects an opportunity to gain financial support and international recognition while advancing solutions to pressing social, environmental, economic, and technological challenges.

If your project fits one of the five thematic areas and already has a functional or defined MVP, this could be an important opportunity to take your initiative forward.

The deadline is 17 September 2026. Apply early, present your impact clearly, and give your project the strongest possible case for support.
