Are you passionate about child welfare and skilled in data collection? A groundbreaking nationwide research initiative is underway to evaluate child protection systems and well-being across Nigeria’s 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). We’re seeking dedicated researchers and data collectors to join this critical project.

Position Details

  • Location: All 36 states + FCT (Applicants must reside in and apply for their state of residence)
  • Duration: Short-term consultancy
  • Application Deadline: March 31, 2025

Key Responsibilities


As a researcher/data collector, you’ll:

  • Conduct key informant interviews (KIIs) and focus group discussions (FGDs) with stakeholders in child protection.
  • Record and transcribe data using digital tools (e.g., KoboToolbox, ODK).
  • Ensure ethical data collection practices and maintain high-quality standards.
  • Submit transcribed data in electronic formats for analysis.

Who Should Apply?


Ideal candidates will have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Law, Public Health, Education, or related fields.
  • Proven experience in field data collection, preferably with electronic tools (KoboToolbox, ODK, SurveyCTO).
  • Knowledge of Nigeria’s child protection sector and local community dynamics.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and time-management skills.
