Apply Now for the Renewed Hope National Agricultural Mechanization Program to Empower Nigerian Farmers, Women, and Youth

Admin, November 2, 2025November 2, 2025

Application Deadline: November 10, 2025

The Bank of Agriculture (BOA), in strategic partnership with Heifer Nigeria, has launched the Renewed Hope National Agricultural Mechanization Program (RHNAMP) — a bold step toward transforming Nigeria’s agricultural landscape. This initiative is designed to strengthen food security, enhance productivity, and empower a new generation of agripreneurs through sustainable mechanization.

The RHNAMP program is part of the federal government’s Renewed Hope Agenda, supporting inclusive growth in agriculture by ensuring access to affordable and efficient mechanization services for Nigerian farmers. By combining innovation, technology, and access to finance, the program seeks to close the mechanization gap that has long hindered productivity in the agricultural sector.

What the RHNAMP Program Offers

The Renewed Hope National Agricultural Mechanization Program provides beneficiaries with access to 2,000 tractors and 9,000 implements, enabling them to deliver professional and timely mechanization services across communities.

Each beneficiary will receive a fully equipped tractor with comprehensive support, including:

  • Preventive maintenance and technical support through regional mechanization hubs.
  • Digital monitoring and IoT-based tracking for efficient management and transparency.
  • Flexible repayment models linked directly to usage and income generation.

This approach not only makes tractor ownership attainable but also ensures sustainability through maintenance, training, and business management support.

Who Can Apply

The RHNAMP program targets individuals and organizations positioned to drive mechanization at the grassroots level. Eligible participants include:

  • Agro-Service Companies: Mechanization and agro-service businesses seeking to expand operations and improve reach.
  • Women Agripreneurs: Female entrepreneurs with experience or interest in managing tractor service businesses.
  • Youth Agripreneurs: Young Nigerians passionate about agribusiness and eager to participate in the mechanization value chain.

This inclusive design promotes gender equality, youth empowerment, and job creation within the agricultural ecosystem.

Eligibility Requirements

To qualify, applicants must demonstrate the capacity and commitment to operate within Nigeria’s agricultural mechanization framework. Key requirements include:

  • Nigerian citizenship or registration as a local agribusiness.
  • Access to contiguous farmland or organized farmer clusters totaling at least 350–500 hectares per tractor.
  • A clear business plan outlining service delivery, pricing, and projected income.
  • Proof of financial capacity or equity contribution for the lease.
  • Commitment to using BOA’s digital tracking system for performance monitoring.
  • Valid business registration documents (CAC or cooperative), TIN, and a functional bank account.

Applicants must also have or employ trained tractor operators and booking agents, with an operational base located within an agricultural production zone.

What Successful Applicants Will Gain

Selected beneficiaries will enjoy a full support package that goes beyond equipment access. Each successful applicant will receive:

  • A tractor under a flexible lease-to-own arrangement.
  • Digital tracking tools for transparency and performance monitoring.
  • Access to mechanization hubs for spare parts, aftersales support, and technical maintenance.
  • Business development support for efficient service management and revenue generation.
  • Training and onboarding sessions covering operation, maintenance, and business management.

These benefits are designed to create sustainable mechanization enterprises that serve farmers efficiently while improving income generation for beneficiaries.

Application Process and Timeline

Applications for the Renewed Hope National Agricultural Mechanization Program are currently open. Interested individuals and organizations can begin their applications through the Bank of Agriculture’s official platform.

Application Deadline: November 10, 2025

Qualified applicants will be invited to submit additional details during the Second Stage Application process. Shortlisted candidates will then proceed to onboarding and training before final deployment.

Through this transparent and competitive process, the program ensures that only committed and capable applicants are selected to drive Nigeria’s agricultural transformation.

Building a Mechanized Future for Nigeria

The Renewed Hope National Agricultural Mechanization Program represents more than access to tractors — it’s about creating opportunities, enhancing food security, and driving prosperity across rural communities. By empowering farmers, women, and youth with the tools, knowledge, and financing they need, BOA and Heifer Nigeria are cultivating the future of modern agriculture.

Farmers across the country are invited to take advantage of this opportunity to scale their productivity, contribute to food sustainability, and play a key role in Nigeria’s agricultural renewal.
