Why This Challenge Matters The climate crisis is no longer a distant future—it is unfolding now. Communities are struggling with extreme weather events, pandemics, food shortages, and conflict. Women and young people, particularly in the Global South, are disproportionately affected. In the face of these challenges, Artificial Intelligence (AI) is proving to be a game-changer. From strengthening food security to improving early warning systems, AI has the potential to predict risks, prepare communities, and save lives. About the TECH4Resilience Challenge The Global Resilience Partnership (GRP), in collaboration with the Gates Foundation and the Trafigura Foundation, has launched the TECH4Resilience Challenge to support AI-driven innovations addressing humanitarian and climate crises. The initiative seeks to turn seed-level ideas into scalable, sustainable solutions that strengthen preparedness and resilience where they are needed most.
