About the Dwell Here Residency Dwell Here is a one-year, site-responsive residency based at IMMA in Dublin, Ireland. It supports independent research across visual arts, design, architecture, curation, and related disciplines. Residents will explore contemporary themes while developing process-based work that engages with the museum’s environment and wider community. The residency is structured around seasonal Research Assemblies, which are collaborative, week-long gatherings where participants share work, hold discussions, and explore interdisciplinary ideas with mentors, peers, and the public. Through these assemblies, the program fosters collective learning, informal knowledge exchange, and creative experimentation. Key Themes for 2026: Technologies of Peace – Investigating commemorative landscapes and the value of peace as an active pursuit. The Irish Paradigm – Exploring peripheral cultural dynamics and the power of creative intimacy in a small island nation. The Museum as a Site of Vibration – Reimagining how museums engage with erased or marginalized histories, sustainability, and hospitality in post-colonial contexts.
