Apply Now: Canadian International Development Scholarships 2030

Admin, March 9, 2025March 9, 2025

Application Deadline: April 11, 2025

The Canadian International Development Scholarships 2030 (BCDI 2030) program is a transformative initiative that provides fully funded education and training opportunities in Canada. Sponsored by Global Affairs Canada, this program runs from 2022 to 2030 and aims to drive social and economic development across 26 eligible countries. It aligns with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by promoting equitable access to higher education, technical skills, and vocational training.

Empowering Future Leaders Through Education

BCDI 2030 is more than just a scholarship; it is a mission to reduce inequalities and empower scholars with knowledge and practical skills. With a commitment to gender inclusivity, the program ensures that at least 51% of the 600 selected scholars are women. This initiative enables participants to become change-makers, returning to their home countries equipped with expertise that contributes to national growth.

By fostering collaboration between Canadian higher education institutions (HEIs) and HEIs in partner countries, the program strengthens global academic partnerships while building sustainable human capital. The selected scholars will not only benefit from world-class education in Canada but will also play a significant role in driving positive change in their communities upon completion of their studies.

Who is Eligible for the BCDI 2030 Scholarship?

Unlike many traditional scholarship programs, BCDI 2030 does not accept direct individual applications. Instead, eligibility is determined through project partnerships between Canadian institutions and their counterparts in eligible countries. Here’s how the selection process works:

  • Canadian HEIs initiate partnerships with HEIs in the selected countries.
  • These institutions develop projects that receive funding under the BCDI 2030 program.
  • Scholarships are awarded based on the selection criteria set by the participating institutions.
  • Applicants must meet the admission requirements of the Canadian study programs they are applying for.

To apply, prospective scholars need to explore available partner projects and submit applications through these initiatives.

Why Apply for BCDI 2030?

The BCDI 2030 Scholarship offers numerous benefits, making it an unparalleled opportunity for students seeking international education and career advancement.

With 600 scholars set to benefit, this program is a life-changing opportunity for students eager to contribute to their country’s development while gaining an internationally recognized education.
