Applications are now open for the Halcyon 2026 Global Climate Fellowship, a fully funded opportunity designed to support visionary entrepreneurs driving impactful solutions in climate adaptation and resilience. This prestigious program brings together global changemakers tackling some of the most pressing environmental challenges of our time through innovation and enterprise.

Selected fellows will participate in a hybrid program featuring in-person residencies in Washington, DC, and Los Angeles, California, alongside virtual programming sessions. The fellowship is tailored to help founders scale their ventures, refine business models, and access global networks that amplify their climate-driven impact.

Program Overview

The Halcyon Global Climate Fellowship focuses on accelerating startups and ventures that address climate resilience through groundbreaking technologies and systems. The fellowship provides intensive mentorship, expert-led workshops, and access to a powerful network of investors, advisors, and peers dedicated to sustainable innovation.

The program structure includes:

  • A virtual kickoff meeting
  • Two in-person residencies (Washington, DC & Los Angeles, CA)
  • Four virtual programming sessions spread across the fellowship cycle

Through this hybrid model, fellows gain hands-on support, mentorship, and global exposure to strengthen their solutions for long-term impact.

Focus Areas

The 2026 Global Climate Fellowship is open to ventures working across multiple sectors of climate resilience and adaptation, including:

  • Renewable and resilient energy systems
  • Adaptive infrastructure and green building technologies
  • Climate-smart agriculture and sustainable food systems
  • WaterTech and water security solutions
  • Blue economy and coastal resilience initiatives
  • Climate intelligence and early-warning systems
  • Financial resilience mechanisms such as climate insurance

These focus areas are designed to align with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), ensuring each project contributes meaningfully to global sustainability and environmental stewardship.

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the Halcyon 2026 Global Climate Fellowship, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Open to global applicants from all regions
  • Must have a working Minimum Viable Product (MVP) with early commercial validation (e.g., pilots, revenue, or letters of intent)
  • Applicants may apply individually or with one co-founder
  • The applicant must be the CEO or primary decision-maker
  • Must be fluent in English (program conducted in English)
  • Must be at least 21 years old by the start of the program
  • Commitment to attend all in-person and virtual sessions is required
  • Ventures must demonstrate a measurable contribution toward one or more UN SDGs

Fellowship Benefits

The Halcyon Global Climate Fellowship provides an array of resources and funding opportunities to help fellows scale their impact-driven ventures. Each selected entrepreneur receives:

  • $6,000 equity-free stipend per venture
  • $10,000 in Amazon Web Services (AWS) credits
  • Access to Halcyon’s global community of over 600 founders and alumni

  • Expert workshops in capital strategy, product-market fit, and leadership
  • Networking opportunities with investors, partners, and stakeholders in the climate innovation ecosystem

  • April 24–May 1, 2026: Residency Week #1 (Washington, DC)

  • September 11–18, 2026: Residency Week #2 (Los Angeles, CA)
