NRC Logistics Coordinator Role – Apply Now

The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) has remained a key player in humanitarian aid, supporting displaced communities in Nigeria since 2015. With a strong presence in conflict-affected regions, NRC provides essential services, improves livelihoods, and strengthens resilience through its core programs, including Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), Shelter, Education, Legal Assistance, Livelihoods and Food Security (LFS), Camp Management, and Protection.

Operating across strategic locations such as Maiduguri, Monguno, Biu, Mubi, Pulka, and Gwoza, NRC bridges the gap between humanitarian aid and long-term development. In 2021, NRC assisted over 269,000 people, demonstrating its commitment to providing life-saving interventions and ensuring equitable access to basic services.

Now, NRC seeks an experienced and passionate Logistics Coordinator to join its Abuja team. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring smooth logistics operations that support NRC’s humanitarian initiatives.

As a Logistics Coordinator, you will:

  • Implement logistics policies and ensure compliance with NRC guidelines and donor requirements.
  • Manage procurement planning, warehouse operations, fleet, assets, and logistics documentation.
  • Conduct market assessments and supplier evaluations to enhance procurement efficiency.
  • Provide training and capacity building for logistics staff.
  • Maintain transparency, anti-corruption measures, and cost efficiency in logistics operations.
  • Oversee high-value procurement and contract management to ensure seamless operations.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure logistics needs align with NRC’s program objectives.

What Makes a Strong Candidate?

  • At least five years of experience in supply chain management at a senior level.
  • A degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications such as CIPS Level 4, APICS CSCP, CLTD, CTS, or CPIM.
  • Strong knowledge of humanitarian supply chain operations and public procurement regulations.
  • Proven experience in team management, training, and capacity-building.
  • Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills.
  • High computer literacy and fluency in English (written and spoken).

  • Contract Duration: 6 months (Renewable)
  • Grade Level: 7 in NRC’s grading structure
  • Reporting To: Logistics Manager
  • Travel Requirement: 60%
  • Eligibility: Open to Nigerian nationals only
