NBA Africa has opened applications for the 2025 Triple-Double Accelerator Program, an exciting opportunity for African tech-enabled startups in the sports and creative industries. Program Focus Areas

The Triple-Double Accelerator is looking for startups using technology to drive innovation and value in:

  • Sports & Innovation
  • Creative Industries

This includes ventures leveraging AI, digital platforms, media, content, fan engagement, sports education, talent development, and other scalable tech solutions that can revolutionize how people experience sports and creativity in Africa.

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the program, startups must:

  • Be headquartered in Africa
  • Be less than two years old
  • Operate within the sports or creative sectors
  • Offer a tech-enabled product or service with strong market potential
  • Have a proof-of-concept or working prototype
  • Demonstrate the ability to scale and create inclusive impact
  • Have at least two co-founders working full-time
  • Preferably be formally registered

How to Apply

Applicants are expected to clearly articulate their startup story, impact, and traction. You will need to share:

  • Your startup’s mission and value proposition
  • Target audience and market opportunity
  • Traction metrics (milestones, customer acquisition, growth)
  • Team structure and co-founders’ roles
  • Revenue model
  • Social and economic impact
  • Pitch deck or product demo (if available)

Program Timeline

Here’s a breakdown of the application and program phases:

Step 1 – Written Application
Deadline: 29 August 2025
Complete the online form (approx. 60 minutes). Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, so apply early.

Step 2 – One-Way Video Interview
Deadline: 12 September 2025
Shortlisted startups will submit a 3-minute video introduction.

Step 3 – Final Selection
Deadline: 30 September 2025
Top startups will be chosen to join the accelerator.

Step 4 – Program Duration
October to December 2025
The 10-week program requires 4–6 hours of weekly commitment, excluding Demo Day.

Step 5 – Demo Day
December 2025
Finalists will pitch their ventures to global industry leaders at a high-visibility event.
