Applications are Open for the ATO-ClimatEducate Project 2025: Empowering Global Youth for Climate Education Admin, October 10, 2025October 10, 2025 Application Deadline: October 12, 2025 The Alpha Team Organization (ATO) has officially opened applications for the 2025 ClimatEducate Project Membership—a global opportunity for young climate advocates dedicated to advancing climate change education and leadership. The ClimatEducate Project, a flagship initiative of ATO, is a youth-led movement promoting climate literacy, leadership, and advocacy. Launched in April 2016 in the Philippines, the project began as a climate leadership effort led by ATO members trained by former U.S. Vice President and Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Al Gore under The Climate Reality Project. Since its inception, ClimatEducate has been a powerful force in raising awareness about the climate crisis through education, outreach, and creative communication. The project combines digital and in-person efforts to drive environmental action among young people worldwide. Impact and Global Reach As of August 2025, ClimatEducate has organized over 90 climate education initiatives across 15 countries, involving young leaders, educators, and advocates primarily from developing nations. The team has actively participated in international environmental dialogues such as the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), and has been featured in both local and international media in Brazil and the Philippines. To enhance coordination and ensure contextual relevance, the project operates through four regional hubs: Africa South Asia South America East Asia, Southeast Asia, and the Pacific (EASEAP) This structure enables the project to tailor its campaigns to the diverse environmental challenges faced by each region. 2025 Membership Call For 2025, ATO-ClimatEducate is inviting 30 new members to join its dynamic and diverse global team. These new project members will work alongside experienced mentors and youth leaders to drive impactful climate change education initiatives. Available Membership Slots: Project Members – Africa Project Members – East Asia, Southeast Asia, and the Pacific/Oceania Project Members – South Asia Project Members – South America (América do Sul) Applicants from other regions are also welcome to apply. New members will participate in a one-month online mentorship and training program designed to build practical experience in project coordination, content development, and outreach. This phase includes collaborative assignments, peer mentoring, and participation in school or community-based activities. Applicant Qualifications Applicants must meet the following requirements: Be under 35 years old. Be a high school, undergraduate, graduate student, or young professional. Show strong commitment to climate action and education. Have basic knowledge of climate change and related issues. Demonstrate proficiency in English (knowledge of French, Arabic, or Portuguese is an added advantage). Be active on social media and digital platforms. Have experience or knowledge in Climate Change Education (CCE) or related volunteer work. Exhibit leadership and teamwork skills through previous academic or community engagement. Be open to collaboration and able to engage regularly with global team members. Preference will be given to applicants who have limited commitments with other organizations and can dedicate adequate time to the project.
