Admin, October 20, 2025October 20, 2025

Application Deadline: Rolling bases

The Generations: Global Grant, an initiative by the Institute for Equality in Development Innovations, is currently open for applications. This global funding opportunity empowers students of all ages to design, lead, and implement innovative projects aimed at preventing child and youth abuse or supporting survivors.

The program champions the vision of a world where young people — regardless of background or age — can create impactful, inclusive, and equity-driven solutions to protect and uplift children and youth.

Through this initiative, students have the opportunity not only to bring their creative ideas to life but also to make a lasting contribution to safer and more supportive communities around the world.

Funding Support for Student Innovators

The Generations: Global Grant offers financial support of up to USD 100,000 to selected individuals or teams. Grants are tailored to the scale and sustainability of the proposed projects.

Past recipients of the program have successfully managed multi-year projects averaging USD 74,800, implementing meaningful interventions that address various forms of child abuse and create systems of care and recovery for survivors.

Applicants are encouraged to indicate their specific funding needs in their proposals to ensure equitable allocation of resources that reflect their project’s scope and potential impact.

The program is open globally to all students, including:

  • Primary and secondary school students
  • Homeschoolers
  • University, college, and post-secondary learners

Each applicant — whether applying individually or as part of a team — can submit up to two project ideas. The program welcomes diverse perspectives, encouraging young innovators from various cultural, social, and academic backgrounds to participate.

By funding student-led initiatives, the program invests in the next generation of social innovators, empowering them to lead change with empathy, creativity, and courage.

From educational campaigns and digital tools to community-based interventions and survivor support systems, this grant provides a platform for young people to take actionable steps toward ending violence against children and promoting mental health and recovery.
