FULLY FUNDED TO AUSTRIA: Apply for the OSCE Women’s Peace Leadership Programme 2026–2027

Admin, March 20, 2026March 20, 2026

Application Deadline: March 31, 2026

Applications are now open for the OSCE Women’s Peace Leadership Programme 2026–2027, a fully funded, high-impact initiative designed to empower women working at the forefront of peacebuilding, security, and digital innovation.

In a world increasingly shaped by digital transformation and complex security challenges, the need for inclusive and forward-thinking leadership has never been more urgent. Women—especially those working in fragile and conflict-affected contexts—remain underrepresented in peace processes and decision-making spaces. This programme directly addresses that gap by equipping women leaders with the tools, networks, and confidence to drive meaningful change.

Delivered by the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe, this prestigious programme combines online learning with an immersive in-person training experience in Vienna, Austria. For professionals across Europe, Central Asia, and partner regions, it offers a rare opportunity to gain global exposure while strengthening their impact at home.

If you are passionate about peacebuilding, gender equality, and the use of digital tools for social good, this could be a transformative step in your leadership journey.

About the Programme

The Women’s Peace Leadership Programme is a one-year initiative (May 2026 – May 2027) designed to build the next generation of women leaders in peace and security. It focuses on strengthening participants’ leadership capacity while exploring how digital innovation can enhance peace processes and democratic resilience.

This is not just another training programme—it is a carefully curated leadership experience. Participants engage in a blended learning model that combines theory, practice, and real-world application. The curriculum is also partially tailored to individual professional needs, ensuring relevance and immediate applicability.

Only 20 women professionals will be selected, making it highly competitive and deeply personalized.

Programme Structure

Participants will go through a comprehensive learning journey that includes:

  • Six interactive online workshops (approximately two hours each)
  • Six “community of practice” sessions for peer learning and collaboration
  • One week of intensive, in-person training in Vienna, Austria (September 2026)
  • Continuous mentorship and networking opportunities throughout the programme

The hybrid format allows participants to balance their professional responsibilities while still benefiting from international exposure and hands-on training.

Benefits of the OSCE Women’s Peace Leadership Programme

Selected participants will gain access to a wide range of benefits designed to accelerate both personal and professional growth:

  • Fully funded travel to Austria for the in-person training in Vienna
  • Daily Subsistence Allowance (DSA) covering accommodation, meals, and local expenses
  • Personalized career coaching to support leadership development

  • Direct engagement with policymakers and global decision-makers
  • Access to a strong regional network of professionals across the OSCE region

Why This Opportunity Matters (And Why You Should Apply)

This programme stands out for several reasons—especially in today’s global landscape.

First, it bridges two critical areas: peacebuilding and digital innovation. As conflicts evolve and digital tools become central to governance and civic engagement, professionals who can navigate both spaces are in high demand.

Second, it prioritizes women’s leadership in security and peace processes—a space where women are still significantly underrepresented. By investing in women leaders, the programme contributes to more inclusive, effective, and sustainable peace outcomes.

Third, the networking and exposure you gain are invaluable. Engaging with policymakers, experts, and peers from across regions can open doors to collaborations, funding opportunities, and career advancement.

Tips for a Strong Application

To stand out in this competitive programme, consider the following:

1. Highlight Your Impact

Don’t just list your roles—demonstrate how your work has contributed to peacebuilding, community development, or digital innovation.

2. Show Alignment with the Programme

Clearly explain how your experience and goals align with the programme’s focus on digital tools and peace leadership.

3. Be Specific About Your Goals
