The EquityTech Fellowship focuses on solutions that utilize technology to enhance accessibility and inclusivity in education and employment. The program is particularly geared towards entrepreneurs working within two key sectors:

EdTech:

Entrepreneurs leveraging digital tools and technology to improve teaching methodologies, enhance learning outcomes, and remove financial and accessibility barriers in education. These solutions span various educational stages, including K-12, higher education, corporate training, and lifelong learning, incorporating cutting-edge advancements such as artificial intelligence (AI), data analytics, and immersive learning experiences.

Future of Work:

Innovators developing technological solutions that expand job market accessibility, enhance workforce productivity, and enable individuals of all abilities to thrive in professional environments. This category includes upskilling and reskilling technologies, workforce analytics, collaboration tools, and well-being solutions driven by AI, automation, and digital platforms.

Exclusive Funding and Benefits

Selected entrepreneurs will gain access to an extensive array of funding and resources, ensuring the growth and scalability of their ventures. Benefits include:

  • $10,000 in Amazon Web Services (AWS) credits to support cloud computing needs.
  • $10,000 equity-free stipend per venture to alleviate financial constraints.

Eligibility Requirements

Halcyon is seeking ambitious, impact-driven founders who meet the following criteria:

  • Global Eligibility: Open to entrepreneurs worldwide.
  • Startup Stage: Applicants must have a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) with the potential to scale and must be working on their venture full-time.
  • Leadership Role: Applicants must be the CEO or hold primary decision-making power within their startup. Co-founders may apply, but only one co-founder per venture can participate.
  • Language Proficiency: Must be fluent in English.
  • Age Requirement: Applicants must be at least 21 years old at the start of the program.
  • Commitment: Full participation in all program activities and sessions is mandatory.
  • Social Impact Focus: Startups must align with at least one of the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Selection Process

Applicants will be evaluated based on the following criteria:

  • Impact: The potential of the solution to drive meaningful change in society or the environment at scale.
  • Scalability: The ability of the venture to reach hundreds of thousands or millions of users within 5 to 10 years.
  • Innovation: The uniqueness and effectiveness of the solution in addressing key challenges.
  • Talent: The capability and experience of the founding team in executing their vision.
