Apply Now for State Technical Assistants for Nigeria’s Measles-Rubella Campaign.

Admin, April 19, 2025April 19, 2025

Location: All 36 States + Federal Capital Territory (FCT)
Duration: 6 months (flexible start between May 2025 – April 2026, depending on state campaign launch)

Nigeria is launching a nationwide Measles-Rubella (MR) Immunization Campaign to protect children from preventable diseases. To ensure its success, Direct Consulting (DCL) and Africa Saving Lives Konsult (ASLK) are recruiting dedicated State Technical Assistants to lead this effort at the grassroots level.

If you are a public health professional passionate about saving lives, this is your chance to make a lasting impact.

What You Will Do

As a State TA, you will be the driving force behind your state’s MR campaign. Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate stakeholders: Work with state health teams, NGOs, and community leaders to ensure seamless campaign execution.
  • Strengthen microplanning: Develop localized strategies to reach zero-dose and under-vaccinated children.
  • Train health workers: Build capacity for vaccine administration, cold-chain management, and safety protocols.
  • Monitor progress: Conduct real-time supervision, troubleshoot challenges, and ensure accountability.
  • Advocate for funding: Mobilize resources and ensure timely allocation for campaign activities.

Who Should Apply?
We are looking for qualified professionals who:

  • Are current residents of the state they apply for and fluent in the local language.
  • Have 3+ years of experience in public health, particularly in immunization programs or outbreak response.
  • Demonstrate expertise in technical assistance, stakeholder coordination, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Possess strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience in large-scale vaccination campaigns.

Why Apply?

  • Direct Impact: Protect children in your state from measles and rubella, diseases that still claim lives unnecessarily.
  • Professional Growth: Gain hands-on experience in a high-profile national health initiative.
  • Networking: Collaborate with leading health organizations and government agencies.
  • Flexibility: The 6-month assignment aligns with your state’s campaign timeline.

How to Apply

  1. Submit your CV and a 1-page cover letter detailing:
  • Your experience in immunization/public health.
  • Why you are the ideal candidate for your state.
