Apply Now: UNDP Africa Regional Cybersecurity Training Programme 2025 Admin, April 8, 2025April 8, 2025 Application Deadline: April 17, 2025 The UNDP Africa Regional Cybersecurity Training Programme is now accepting applications for 2025. This unique initiative, in partnership with Give1Project and Concordia University, aims to equip young people from West and Central Africa with essential cybersecurity skills. This year, 150 participants will be selected for the second cohort. A Growing Impact Launched in 2023 with a pilot group of 22 participants, the programme has already helped many secure jobs in the tech industry or lead digital projects in their communities. In 2025, the programme will expand, providing more opportunities for youth across the region. Inclusive and Flexible Learning The programme offers a hybrid learning model that combines online classes for theoretical knowledge with in-person sessions for hands-on practice. To ensure access for participants in remote or underserved areas, special centers will be set up with computers and internet connectivity. A key component of the programme is sustainability. Top-performing participants in each country will be trained as future trainers, empowering them to share their cybersecurity knowledge and foster peer learning in their communities. Who Can Apply? Eligible applicants must: Be between 18 and 35 years old Be a citizen of one of the 24 West or Central African countries Be currently enrolled in or have graduated from a university or technical institution Have basic knowledge of cybersecurity and a keen interest in the field Be fluent in English or French Hold a valid form of ID (national ID or passport) What You’ll Gain Participants will receive: Practical cybersecurity training Mentorship from industry experts A certificate upon completion Opportunities for networking, internships, job placements, and pathways to digital entrepreneurship Future trainers will also assume leadership roles, helping to spread cybersecurity knowledge within their communities. Selection Process The selection process is competitive and occurs in three stages: Initial Screening – Assessment of motivation, skills, education, and experience. Technical Assessment – Evaluation of cybersecurity knowledge. Interviews – Final interviews to select the top candidates.
