This program, brought to you by the CRDB Bank Foundation in collaboration with GIZ, is designed to boost green-focused micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) as part of the WE4D initiative promoting women’s roles in Africa’s eco-transformation.

These green ventures prioritize environmental protection, from renewable energy to waste reduction, helping build a resilient economy.

The Ajira YE2 accelerator targets businesses in Dar es Salaam, Morogoro, and Zanzibar’s Unguja island, aiming to foster job creation and support community development through sustainable models.This effort aligns with national priorities for climate resilience and economic inclusion, empowering entrepreneurs to make a real difference in their regions.

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify, your business should meet these essentials:

•Be a formally registered entity with a minimum of two years in active operation.

•Operate primarily in Dar es Salaam, Morogoro, or Unguja (Zanzibar).

•Demonstrate a dedication to environmental sustainability and green initiatives.

•Show potential for expansion and job generation in eco-sectors.

What you’ll need for your application:

  1. A filled-out application form.
  2. Documentation proving registration and at least two years of business activity.
  3. A concise motivation statement (up to 500 words) explaining your plans for sustainable job opportunities and eco-impact.
