About the Hauwa Ojeifo Global Impact Fund

Named after Hauwa Ojeifo — a leading advocate for mental health and gender equity — the Global Impact Fund is on a mission to strengthen health and wellbeing systems for 100 million women and girls by 2030. Through this partnership with One Young World, the fund supports a new generation of empathetic and transformative leaders, committed to building inclusive, just, and resilient communities.

What Does the Scholarship Offer?

Recipients of the Hauwa Ojeifo Scholarship will gain:

• Grant funding of up to $25,000 USD to support community-driven initiatives.
• Full sponsorship to attend the One Young World Summit 2025, scheduled for 3–6 November in Munich, Germany.
• Lifetime membership in the One Young World Ambassador Community, connecting you with a global network of 13,000+ changemakers.
• Access to the One Young World Action Accelerator, offering expert-led mentorship sessions to help scale your impact.

Who Should Apply?

This opportunity is open to young leaders who meet the following criteria:

• Age Range: 18 to 30 years old.
• Geographical Focus: Must reside and make an impact in Africa, Asia, or the Middle East.
• Leadership Role: Must be leading or playing a significant leadership role in an initiative or organization with demonstrable impact in one or more of the following areas:
  • Mental health (including neurodivergence and developmental differences)
  • Domestic and sexual violence prevention
  • Disability rights and the rights of older adults
  • Sexual and reproductive health, including gynecological care
  • Maternal and child health
  • Girl-child issues (FGM, early marriage, adolescent pregnancy)
  • Non-communicable diseases (NCDs)

Bonus Consideration: Applications that incorporate psychosocial support and a disability-inclusive approach will be given special attention.
