Apply Now for the Climate Cardinals Global Fellowship 2026–2027: Paid Opportunity for Young Climate Leaders

Admin, July 16, 2026July 16, 2026

Application Deadline: July 31, 2026

Applications are now open for the Climate Cardinals Global Fellowship 2026–2027, an exciting paid leadership programme designed to empower the next generation of climate changemakers. If you’re passionate about climate action, youth leadership, and creating lasting social impact, this fellowship offers a unique opportunity to build practical skills while working alongside a global community of young leaders.

Climate change remains one of the defining challenges of our generation, and young people are increasingly leading efforts to develop innovative, community-driven solutions. However, many aspiring climate advocates—especially those from underserved communities—often lack access to mentorship, funding, and international leadership opportunities. The Climate Cardinals Fellowship seeks to bridge that gap.

Open to applicants from all countries, this virtual fellowship combines leadership development, professional training, project implementation, and financial support. Fellows will receive a $1,500 stipend, participate in expert-led workshops, and contribute directly to projects advancing climate education and action around the world.

Whether you are a secondary school student, undergraduate, or an emerging youth leader looking to launch a meaningful career in climate and sustainability, this programme provides an excellent platform to gain real-world experience while expanding your global network.

About the Climate Cardinals Global Fellowship

The Climate Cardinals Fellowship Program 2026–2027 is organized by Climate Cardinals, one of the world’s largest youth-led climate education organizations. With a network of more than 19,000 volunteers across 145 countries, the organization is committed to making climate knowledge accessible to people regardless of language or location.

Climate Cardinals believes that language should never be a barrier to climate education. Through translation initiatives, educational campaigns, youth leadership development, and community engagement, the organization has empowered thousands of volunteers to increase access to climate information worldwide.

The fellowship builds on this mission by investing directly in young leaders. Rather than simply offering training sessions, participants become active contributors within one of Climate Cardinals’ core teams, where they design and implement projects that create measurable social and environmental impact.

Running from September 2026 through May 2027, the virtual programme combines structured learning with practical experience. Fellows dedicate approximately 3–5 hours per week, allowing them to balance the programme alongside their academic commitments.

Throughout the fellowship, participants will strengthen leadership capabilities while gaining practical experience in project management, fundraising, digital engagement, movement building, and climate communication—skills that remain valuable far beyond the climate sector.
