Funding and Benefits The Arturo Falaschi Fellowship offers generous financial support tailored to each host center’s cost of living: Trieste, Italy: €2,300 per month New Delhi, India: US$1,749 per month Cape Town, South Africa: ZAR 27,500 per month Beyond the monthly stipend, fellows receive medical insurance coverage, visa and travel reimbursements, and support for research-related expenses. Group Leaders often sponsor fellows’ participation in academic events and international conferences to foster exposure and collaboration. While family-related financial support is not included, the fellowship ensures accommodation assistance at each location. All fellowships will officially commence on 1 October 2026. Eligibility Criteria Applicants must meet the following requirements: Be a national of an ICGEB Member State. Not undertake the fellowship in their home country, unless they have resided abroad for at least three years at the time of application. Hold a recent PhD in Life Sciences or have a minimum of three years of research experience. Be ideally under 35 years of age at the time of application. The program seeks highly motivated individuals ready to contribute innovative ideas and research to the field of life sciences.
