With 15 Fellowships available across two flexible tracks, this program bridges academia and practice while fostering a vibrant pan-European network. Why Apply? Funding Support: Receive a monthly stipend of €2,500 during mobility periods (October 2024–July 2025). Program Tracks: Tailored to Your Goals Track 1: Full-Time Immersion For: Scholars and practitioners seeking intensive collaboration. Details: 6-month mobility period split between two institutions (academic + practical). Participate in three mandatory meetings (Berlin, online, and a European location). Present your project in the Fellow Talks series. Track 2: Flexible Engagement For: Professionals balancing commitments with part-time options. Details: Choose 3 months full-time or 6 months part-time at one host institution. Attend two meetings (Berlin in-person + one additional). Showcase your work in the Fellow Talks series (full participation encouraged). Who Can Apply? Scholars: Hold a PhD (completed within the last 10 years) in law, political science, philosophy, or related fields. Advanced doctoral candidates near completion are also eligible. Practitioners: Legal professionals, policymakers, NGO experts, journalists, or researchers focused on democracy/rule of law in Europe. Residency: Open to residents of EU/EEA countries, EU candidate nations*, Switzerland, or the UK. Citizenship is not required. *Includes Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia, and Ukraine.
