Are you a passionate undergraduate student interested in public policy, research, and making a real difference through philanthropy? Arnold Ventures (AV), a leading organization dedicated to identifying root causes of America’s toughest challenges and advancing evidence-based solutions, is now accepting applications for its 2026 Summer Internship Program.

This hands-on program focuses on driving systemic change to enhance lives, build stronger communities, and expand economic opportunities for families across the country.

About the Program

The Arnold Ventures Summer Internship is a dynamic, 10-week immersive experience designed to give participants a deeper insight into the world of philanthropy and public policy. You’ll be placed on one of our programmatic or operational teams based on organizational needs, contributing meaningfully while building valuable skills.

Key highlights include:

  • A dedicated project manager to guide your daily work
  • A personal mentor for professional growth and advice
  • Numerous opportunities for professional development, networking sessions with team members, and connections with external partners

By the end, interns gain a solid understanding of the philanthropic landscape, insights into AV’s impactful policy initiatives, potential career paths, and expanded confidence in their own potential.

What You’ll Do

Interns tackle meaningful tasks aligned with AV’s mission, such as:

  • Researching key topics across our focus areas
  • Supporting the management and evaluation of current and prospective grants
  • Drafting, editing, and fact-checking materials like policy documents, correspondence, web content, database entries, and more
  • Attending meetings with grantees, policymakers at local, state, or federal levels, and other stakeholders

Who We’re Looking For

We’re seeking full-time rising juniors or seniors with:

  • A strong interest in policy, research, and legislative issues
  • Excellent analytical skills to derive insights from data and information
  • Outstanding written and oral communication abilities, especially in explaining complex ideas to non-expert audiences
  • Superior organization and project management capabilities
  • Availability for a full-time commitment throughout the program
