This hands-on program focuses on driving systemic change to enhance lives, build stronger communities, and expand economic opportunities for families across the country. About the Program The Arnold Ventures Summer Internship is a dynamic, 10-week immersive experience designed to give participants a deeper insight into the world of philanthropy and public policy. You’ll be placed on one of our programmatic or operational teams based on organizational needs, contributing meaningfully while building valuable skills. What You’ll Do Interns tackle meaningful tasks aligned with AV’s mission, such as: Researching key topics across our focus areas Supporting the management and evaluation of current and prospective grants Drafting, editing, and fact-checking materials like policy documents, correspondence, web content, database entries, and more Attending meetings with grantees, policymakers at local, state, or federal levels, and other stakeholders Who We’re Looking For We’re seeking full-time rising juniors or seniors with: A strong interest in policy, research, and legislative issues Excellent analytical skills to derive insights from data and information Outstanding written and oral communication abilities, especially in explaining complex ideas to non-expert audiences Superior organization and project management capabilities Availability for a full-time commitment throughout the program Program Details Dates: June 1 – August 7, 2026 Locations: Houston, TX or Washington, D.C. Compensation: $30 per hour, plus a $5,000 stipend for housing and/or transportation (subject to taxes and withholdings) Travel: Expect some cross-office travel (e.g., D.C.-based interns to Houston for onboarding, or vice versa in July). All related airfare, meals, and lodging covered by AV. Office Closures: The office will be closed on select dates for holidays and Summer Fridays (June 5, June 19 for Juneteenth, July 3 for Independence Day, July 17, and July 31).
