With nuclear weapons remaining one of the most significant threats to global security, this programme seeks to empower young changemakers who are eager to promote peace and security worldwide. If you are passionate about global peace and want to make a difference, this opportunity could be the perfect stepping stone for you. About the Youth Leader Fund Programme The YLF Programme is a comprehensive learning initiative that provides participants with essential knowledge on nuclear disarmament, non-proliferation, and arms control. It offers an immersive experience through online courses and an exclusive in-person study tour to Nagasaki and Hiroshima for a select cohort. Participants will engage with experts from think tanks, civil society organizations, the media, and the diplomatic community, enabling them to build strong networks and gain practical skills to advocate for a nuclear-free world. One of the most impactful aspects of the programme is learning from hibakusha—survivors of the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. As these survivors grow older, it becomes more critical than ever to pass on their stories to future generations. The YLF Programme ensures that their message and advocacy for nuclear disarmament continue to inspire young leaders Benefits of Participation 1.
