The Africa Macroeconomic Analysts Program (AMAP) has officially opened its call for applications for the 2025 cohort. This flagship initiative is designed to nurture and empower Africa’s next generation of economic thought leaders by equipping them with the technical skills, policy exposure, and mentorship necessary to drive meaningful macroeconomic transformation across the continent.

As a premier pan-African program, AMAP 2025 is tailored to exceptional young Africans with a strong interest in economic policy, data analysis, and research. About the AMAP Program

The Africa Macroeconomic Analysts Program (AMAP) is a rigorous and highly selective capacity-building initiative that targets final-year undergraduate students and recent graduates in economics and related disciplines. It serves as a launchpad for those aspiring to make a measurable impact on Africa’s economic future.

Participants benefit from a comprehensive curriculum that merges academic knowledge with real-world policy engagement. Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the 2025 AMAP cohort, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Must be a citizen of Nigeria, Ghana, Cameroon, Rwanda, Kenya, Zambia, or South Africa.
  • Must be a final-year undergraduate student or a recent graduate in Economics, Political Science, International Relations, or related social science fields.
  • Must have obtained a First-Class or Second-Class Upper (2:1) degree. Exceptional Second-Class Lower (2:2) candidates with relevant experience may also be considered.
