Rise Up, a global nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing gender equity and justice, is inviting applications for its transformative Leadership and Advocacy Accelerator Program in Nigeria. The program, set to take place from November 16 to 22, 2025, aims to equip a cohort of 25 outstanding local leaders with the tools, resources, and funding needed to create meaningful change within their communities and beyond.

Since its inception, Rise Up has supported over 800 leaders worldwide who have collectively influenced 218+ policies and laws, improving the lives of more than 172 million people globally. This year, the initiative continues in Nigeria, reinforcing the organization’s commitment to supporting impactful, grassroots-driven solutions for gender equity and justice.

Who Should Apply?

The Leadership and Advocacy Accelerator is open to visionary individuals aged 18 and above as of November 2025, who are committed to driving social change in their communities. Applicants must be based in one of the following states:

  • Federal Capital Territory (FCT)
  • Rivers State
  • Anambra State
  • Kaduna State
  • Nasarawa State

This opportunity is ideal for civil society leaders, activists, and advocates working on gender equity across health, education, and economic opportunity. Whether you’re addressing maternal health, improving access to education for girls, or empowering women through economic initiatives, Rise Up welcomes your passion and vision.

Program Highlights

The 2025 Leadership and Advocacy Accelerator in Nigeria offers a hybrid training experience, combining virtual learning and in-person engagement. Participants will undergo an intensive, week-long capacity-building session designed to strengthen leadership skills, refine advocacy strategies, and foster collaborative action.

The program includes:
