Applications are Now Open for Plan International Nigeria Thrive Programme 2025 Cohort (Phase 3)

Plan International Nigeria has opened applications for the Thrive Programme 2025 Cohort (Phase 3), a flagship initiative designed to empower young people with the skills, confidence, and resources needed to succeed in today’s competitive job market.

Launched in collaboration with Oracle Volunteering, the Thrive Programme focuses on equipping Nigerian youth with practical tools for personal development, employability, and career growth. The programme reflects Plan International’s long-standing commitment to creating equal opportunities for young people, especially adolescents, young women, and persons with disabilities.

About the Thrive Programme

The Thrive Programme provides young Nigerians with a platform to enhance their capacity, showcase their potential, and gain access to mentorship and professional growth opportunities. Through targeted training and exposure, participants will be empowered to navigate challenges, improve their employability, and contribute meaningfully to their communities.

The programme prioritizes inclusion and encourages applications from young women, adolescents, and persons with disabilities. By focusing on diversity, Plan International Nigeria ensures that every young person has the chance to benefit from the initiative and move closer to achieving their career and life goals.

Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for the Thrive Programme 2025 Cohort (Phase 3), applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Applicants should prepare either:
    • A short video (maximum 1 minute, MP4 format) OR
    • A written document (400 words, single-spaced, Arial font size 12, in English).
    The content should cover:
    • Motivation for joining the programme
    • Expected long-term benefits
    • Reasons why they are the best candidate
  • Videos must be clear, steady, and recorded in a distraction-free environment, with the applicant facing the camera (showing face and shoulders).
  • Applicants must be between 18 and 30 years old as of October 1, 2025.
  • Adolescents, young women, and persons with disabilities are strongly encouraged to apply.
  • Applicants requiring special adjustments to support participation due to a disability are welcome to notify the organisers for tailored assistance.

Application Guidelines

  • Participants should submit their entries following the instructions provided on the official programme portal.
  • Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for the next stage of the selection process.
