To support their efforts, Youth4Climate (Y4C) Call for Solutions 2025 is now open for applications. This initiative offers up to $30,000 in seed funding to youth-led organizations working on impactful climate projects.

About the Youth4Climate Call for Solutions

The Youth4Climate Call for Solutions is a global competition designed to fund and support youth-led climate initiatives. Since its launch in 2023, the program has provided $2.5 million in funding to 100 youth-led projects across 52 countries.

Now in its third year, the 2025 edition continues to support young changemakers by offering:

Seed funding of up to $30,000 per project
Mentorship and training programs
Opportunities for global networking and visibility

The initiative is backed by the Government of Italy and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), in collaboration with global partners.

Focus Areas for 2025

The 2025 Call for Solutions will fund projects in six key areas:

Sustainable Energy – Advancing clean and renewable energy solutions
Food and Agriculture – Improving sustainable farming and food security
Climate and Health – Addressing climate-related health challenges
Digital for Planet – Leveraging technology for environmental impact
Climate, Peace, and Security – Tackling climate-related conflicts
Nature for Climate Action – Protecting biodiversity and restoring ecosystems

Why Youth Leadership Matters

With 1.9 billion young people worldwide, this generation has the power to drive transformational change. However, many youth-led initiatives struggle to access funding, training, and policy support needed to scale their solutions.

Y4C is bridging this gap by providing:

Who Can Apply?

The Youth4Climate Call for Solutions 2025 is open to:

Young individuals aged 18 to 29
Youth-led organizations (CSOs, NGOs, CBOs, startups) where the majority of leadership is between 18-29 years old
Projects implemented in eligible countries listed in the Call guidelines
Project leads who are nationals of eligible countries

What Do Successful Applicants Receive?

Up to $30,000 in seed funding to implement or scale their project
Mentorship and training with experts through group workshops, one-on-one coaching, and feedback sessions
Networking and visibility at national, regional, and global levels, increasing opportunities for further funding and partnerships

Download and read the Call for Solutions Guidelines to understand eligibility requirements and deadlines.
Prepare your proposal:
Complete the Budget and Workplan template
Record a 3-minute video pitch explaining your solution
Submit your application through the online platform, attaching the required templates and video.
