Who Can Apply?

To be eligible for the WIPO YEP 2026/2027 cohort, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Be under 35 years old at the time of application.
  • Hold a university degree in a relevant field.
  • Have at least two years of work experience in areas related to IP, innovation, creativity, or development.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical, research, and organizational skills.
  • Show excellent communication abilities in English (spoken and written).
  • Additional languages and prior knowledge of the IP ecosystem will be an added advantage.

  • Applications Open: July 8, 2025
  • Deadline to Apply: August 14, 2025
  • Initial Screening & Tests: Late August 2025
  • Virtual Interviews: September – October 2025
  • Final Selection: November 2025
  • Onboarding: December 2025 – January 2026
  • Program Start Date: February 1, 2026

All selected participants will be based at WIPO Headquarters in Geneva, gaining firsthand exposure to multilateral collaboration and global IP frameworks.
