What is the Engine Room Changemaker Program?
Supported by the United Nations Foundation’s Our Future Agenda, this program is a key initiative under the Unlock the Future coalition’s Road to 2100. It offers young changemakers a platform to collaborate with global leaders, influence critical decisions, and contribute to shaping policies that will define our future.
Why Join?
As an Engine Room Changemaker, you will:
- Engage in Global Decision-Making: Participate in UN processes and key policy discussions, ensuring youth voices are heard.
- Bridge Local and Global Change: Amplify community perspectives by linking local insights and initiatives to international platforms.
- Lead Meaningful Projects: Organize events, lead advocacy efforts, and contribute to shaping strategies within People, Planet, Prosperity, Peace, or Partnerships Action Groups.

Who Can Apply?
Eligible candidates must:
- Be 18–30 years old
- Be proficient in English
- Have access to a laptop and reliable internet
- Be able to commit time for meetings, projects, and campaigns
- Individuals from the Global South are strongly encouraged to apply
Selection Criteria
We are looking for individuals with:
- A proven ability to inspire and mobilize others
- Strong communication skills to engage diverse stakeholders
- Experience working in multicultural environments
- A passion for tackling global challenges aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
- Digital proficiency (e.g., social media, content creation)
Application Process
Applicants must:
- Commit 3-8 hours monthly (February–December 2025)
- Attend Action Group meetings and additional sessions as needed
- Collaborate proactively with the team to enhance project impact
- Follow through on commitments and contribute meaningfully
- Demonstrate dedication to the mission and a drive for positive change
