The Joint Japan World Bank Scholarship Program is a fully funded scholarship designed for students from developing countries to pursue a Master’s degree in one of the eligible programs at participating universities. With 41 programs across 24 universities in the U.S., Europe, Africa, Oceania, and Japan, this scholarship provides the resources and support needed to further your career in development and policy.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the Joint Japan World Bank Scholarship, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Nationality: Must be a citizen of a developing country that is a member of the World Bank.
- Citizenship: Cannot hold dual citizenship from any developed country.
- Education: Must hold a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent), obtained at least three years before the application deadline.
- Health: Must be in good health.
- Professional Experience: At least 3 years of full-time, paid development-related employment within the past 6 years.
How to Apply for the Joint Japan World Bank Scholarship 2025?
- Apply to an Eligible Master’s Program: First, apply directly to one of the participating universities offering eligible Master’s programs.
- Receive Unconditional Admission: Only those who receive an unconditional offer for admission will be eligible to apply for the World Bank Scholarship.
- Submit the Scholarship Application: Shortlisted candidates will be invited to apply for the scholarship after receiving an unconditional offer from a participating program.
Note: There is no application fee for the World Bank Scholarship.
