The GETAccelerated Program, created by Grooming Endowment Trust, is a premier initiative aimed at nurturing early-stage startups into impactful, mission-driven businesses. This program supports startups in validating their growth potential and achieving market traction while addressing socioeconomic challenges across Africa.

Having successfully completed three cohorts and supported over 30 startups in various sectors, such as healthtech, agritech, fintech, and edtech, GETAccelerated aims to empower the next generation of innovators. Past participants have raised significant funding and forged key partnerships, enhancing their social impact.

Cohort 4 Overview:

This 16-week acceleration program focuses on transforming early-stage startups into AI-powered entities. Through a mix of bootcamps, expert mentorship, and non-equity funding, selected startups will work to develop scalable solutions and foster sustainable development.

Key features include:

  • 3-day Bootcamp & Hackathon: Define impact cases and prototype AI solutions.
  • 12-week Digital Acceleration: Benefit from dedicated mentorship and business validation.
  • Funding Opportunities: Each startup receives ₦1 million in non-equity funding, with a chance to compete for an additional ₦9 million at the Demo Day.
  • Ecosystem Engagement: Access partnerships and post-program support.

Eligibility Criteria:
The program targets startups within 6 months to 3 years of operation, led by first or second-time founders. Ideal candidates are those with a Minimum Viable Product (MVP), some market traction, and have raised between friends/family (FFF) and seed rounds.

Impact Definition:
In this program, “impact” refers to meaningful, sustainable transformations that address critical development challenges while promoting inclusive growth. Startups will aim to:

  • Break down socioeconomic barriers
  • Tap into underserved markets
  • Build networks and collaborations
  • Improve productivity and efficiency in value chains
