This prestigious program is tailored for individuals aged 21–27 who are actively involved in driving positive change within their communities. The CEE Program offers a one-year leadership development experience designed to build capacity, foster cross-cultural collaboration, and strengthen civic engagement globally. It connects emerging changemakers with practical tools, networks, and hands-on experiences to elevate their impact. Program Overview Selected fellows participate in a three-month, immersive exchange in the United States, where they are placed with leading nonprofit organizations, social enterprises, and grassroots initiatives. These placements provide real-world experience and mentorship, helping participants refine their leadership abilities and deepen their understanding of effective community-driven strategies. In addition to their placements, fellows join the Civic and Leadership Engagement Academy, which delivers in-person training, mentorship, and service-based learning. This academy equips participants with practical knowledge, innovative thinking, and the mindset required to lead community development efforts. During the U.S.-based portion of the program, fellows develop Community Engagement Projects (CEPs) tailored to address specific challenges in their home countries. After returning home, they implement these projects with ongoing support, ensuring long-term and meaningful local impact. A unique aspect of the program is the reciprocal exchange component. U.S.-based professionals and host organizations travel to fellows’ home countries to support project implementation and share learning, promoting mutual understanding and stronger civic ecosystems. Benefits of the Program The CEE Fellowship is fully funded and includes: Round-trip international airfare J-1 visa processing and support Monthly living stipend to cover housing, meals, and daily expenses Comprehensive health and accident insurance Access to a global network of changemakers Professional training, mentorship, and ongoing project support These benefits remove financial barriers and open doors to a transformative experience that enhances leadership capacity and supports sustainable development.
