This prestigious program empowers African entrepreneurs developing sustainable, scalable solutions to tackle climate change, enhance food security, and strengthen climate resilience across the continent. Through an immersive hybrid program, selected founders will participate in a one-week, in-person residency in Accra, Ghana, followed by five virtual sessions, and conclude with a second one-week residency in Nairobi, Kenya. The fellowship offers a unique platform for African innovators to gain expert guidance, investor exposure, and access to a vibrant global network of changemakers. Focus Areas The fellowship targets solutions addressing climate adaptation, resilience, and food systems innovation. Eligible ventures may focus on: Climate-smart agriculture and sustainable food systems Renewable and resilient energy technologies Green infrastructure and adaptive building innovations Climate intelligence and early-warning systems WaterTech for sustainable water management and resilience Blue economy and coastal resilience initiatives Other impactful climate-related technologies and approaches Eligibility Requirements To qualify for the 2026 Halcyon Fellowship, applicants must: Be based in Africa and developing a solution that directly contributes to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Have a working Minimum Viable Product (MVP) with the potential to scale. Provide early evidence of commercial validation, such as pilot results, revenue, or letters of intent. Be 21 years or older by the start of the program. Be fluent in English, as the program is conducted in English. Serve as the CEO or key decision-maker of the venture. Commit to attending all program sessions, including both in-person residencies and virtual meetings. Apply individually or with one co-founder.
