Admin, February 19, 2026February 19, 2026

Application Deadline: March 19, 2026

Applications are now open for the Fully Funded Global Public Health Leadership Fellowships 2026–2027, an exceptional opportunity for early-career professionals committed to advancing health equity and systems change.

Delivered by Global Health Corps, these prestigious nine-month hybrid leadership accelerators are designed to strengthen the next generation of health leaders across Africa and the United States. Participants continue working in their current public health roles while benefiting from transformative leadership training, mentorship, and global exposure.

In an era marked by pandemics, inequitable access to healthcare, and workforce burnout, developing capable and compassionate leaders has never been more urgent. These fellowships bridge skill gaps, build resilience, and foster collaboration across borders — shaping professionals who can lead inclusive health systems for the future.

Whether you’re based in Malawi, Rwanda, Uganda, Zambia, or the United States, this program offers a fully funded pathway to accelerate your impact in the public health space.

About the Global Public Health Leadership Fellowships

The Global Health Corps Leadership Accelerators are flagship initiatives aimed at equipping non-clinical public health professionals with critical leadership, systems thinking, and equity-focused skills. The program combines virtual learning, personalized coaching, and immersive retreats to help fellows apply what they learn in real time within their current institutions.

Each fellowship runs for nine months and features a blend of practical training, peer learning, and mentorship guided by experienced professionals and global health experts.

Participants join a network of over 1,300 Global Health Corps alumni — a vibrant community of changemakers driving health system transformation across more than 40 countries.

Why This Fellowship Matters

Both accelerators address some of the most pressing global health challenges today — from workforce shortages to persistent inequities in healthcare access. By investing in leadership, Global Health Corps is building a pipeline of professionals equipped to:

  • Navigate complex health systems
  • Lead cross-sector collaborations
  • Advance diversity, equity, and inclusion in public health
  • Drive measurable impact in their local and national contexts

Fellows are not required to leave their current jobs, ensuring that learning and leadership development are integrated into ongoing real-world practice. This practical, immersive design makes the program one of the most accessible and high-impact fellowships in the global health space.

Tips for a Strong Application

  1. Secure your supervisor’s endorsement early. A supervisor recommendation is required and demonstrates institutional support.
  2. Highlight your leadership potential. Emphasize how you’ve led or influenced initiatives that improved systems or equity in public health.
  3. Show a clear connection to your community. Strong applications reflect how your work benefits underserved populations or strengthens local systems.
  4. Be specific about goals. Detail how participation will help you create tangible change within your organization.
  5. Apply before the priority deadline. Early submissions receive faster consideration and stronger feedback opportunities.

Why You Should Apply

These fellowships are not just about professional growth — they are about transformational leadership. Participants gain lifelong mentorship, access to a global community, and the skills to build health systems that serve everyone fairly.

If you are passionate about reducing disparities, strengthening health systems, and leading with purpose, this program offers a once-in-a-lifetime platform to amplify your impact.
