The selected consultant will provide fresh insights and practical recommendations to enhance prevention programming worldwide. Key Responsibilities The consultant will work closely with UN Women’s Ending Violence Against Women (EVAW) section. The main responsibilities include: Research and Analysis (Due: April 15, 2025): Compile a synthesis report outlining key trends, challenges, gaps, and opportunities in VAW prevention. Strategy Development (Due: May 10, 2025): Draft a comprehensive prevention strategy with a clear vision, objectives, and actions for the next 4-5 years. Final Strategy Report (Due: May 30, 2025): Refine the strategy based on stakeholder feedback, ensuring a coherent and actionable framework. All deliverables will be provided in English and submitted electronically. Who Should Apply? This role is designed for professionals with a strong background in gender studies, policy advocacy, and violence prevention. Ideal candidates will have: Education: A Master’s degree in social sciences, gender studies, international development, or human rights (PhD preferred but not required). Experience: At least 10 years of expertise in designing, planning, implementing, and evaluating VAW prevention programs at the international level. Skills: Exceptional writing, research, and communication skills, along with knowledge of evidence-based prevention approaches. Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is essential.
