This is an outstanding opportunity for passionate, young changemakers to take part in reshaping global agrifood systems through inclusive, youth-driven advocacy, innovation, and policy dialogue. In an era where food security and climate resilience are at the forefront of global challenges, it’s critical to ensure meaningful youth participation in the development and implementation of agrifood policies. The WFF, through its Global Youth Action Initiative, is championing this cause by empowering youth across the world to contribute their voices and solutions. Why the Youth Representatives Programme Matters Through the WFF Youth Representatives Programme, selected individuals become a vital part of the WFF Youth Assembly—the central platform for youth engagement, policy input, and leadership in agrifood systems transformation. The programme amplifies youth voices at local, national, and global levels, ensuring that policy recommendations are grounded in real community needs and experiences. The initiative is designed to: Foster youth leadership by positioning young representatives in decision-making spaces. Mobilize innovative, youth-led solutions for sustainable and inclusive agrifood systems. Promote equitable representation, with a focus on youth from underrepresented regions such as the Global South, Indigenous communities, smallholder farmers, and marginalized groups. Youth Representatives actively engage in workshops, consultations, and events throughout the year, culminating in their participation at the WFF’s flagship global gathering from 10 to 17 October 2025. What You’ll Gain as a WFF Youth Representative Participants will: Contribute to global dialogues as panelists, discussants, and contributors, shaping key outcomes of the Youth Assembly. Influence youth-centric policies by drafting and reviewing policy statements and technical documents. Promote local impact by supporting community-level initiatives through WFF National Youth Chapters. Foster collaboration by connecting with youth across regions to address shared challenges in food, agriculture, and environmental sustainability.
