Admin, October 7, 2025October 7, 2025

Application Deadline: December 3, 2025

Applications are now open for the 2026 Yale Maurice R. Greenberg World Fellows Program, one of the world’s most prestigious global leadership programs designed for exceptional mid-career professionals. Hosted by Yale University’s International Leadership Center within the Jackson School of Global Affairs, the program offers a transformative four-month residential experience in New Haven, Connecticut. Running annually from mid-August to mid-December, the fellowship provides a platform for changemakers to refine their leadership capacity, expand their global networks, and engage deeply with Yale’s diverse intellectual community.

About the Program

The Yale Maurice R. Greenberg World Fellows Program is dedicated to cultivating a dynamic community of innovative leaders who are driving positive change around the world. Each year, 16–18 Fellows from across sectors—including government, business, civil society, and media—join the program to strengthen their vision and impact.

Participants engage in immersive learning experiences, reflective discussions, leadership training, and mentorship while contributing their unique expertise to Yale’s academic environment. Fellows also collaborate with peers from various disciplines, attend Yale classes, and share insights through public talks, panels, and mentoring sessions.

Program Components

1. Weekly Seminars
Fellows participate in two signature seminar series:

  • Good Society Seminars: Fellows share their professional journeys, values, and contributions to building a better world.
  • Salon Sessions: Fellows host thought leaders and engage in stimulating dialogues on global challenges and solutions.

2. Personal Development
Each Fellow receives personalized coaching and professional development support. Participants can audit Yale courses, conduct research, and work on individual or collaborative projects that align with their leadership goals.

3. Campus Engagement
World Fellows actively participate in Yale’s vibrant academic and social community. They give talks, contribute to panels, and collaborate with faculty and students, enriching the university’s intellectual ecosystem.

4. Mentorship and Student Collaboration
Fellows are paired with Yale student liaisons who assist in event organization and help them navigate campus life. In turn, Fellows mentor these students, fostering meaningful intergenerational connections.

5. Global Networking
The program provides access to an ever-growing alumni network of over 400 World Fellows from 90+ countries. This diverse community continues to collaborate on global initiatives long after the program ends.

Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for the 2026 Yale World Fellows Program, applicants must:

  • Have between five and twenty-five years of professional experience with demonstrated leadership and impact at regional, national, or international levels.
  • Be citizens of countries other than the United States. Dual citizens with the U.S. may apply, though preference is given to those whose work focuses outside the U.S.
  • Demonstrate fluency in English to participate fully in discussions and academic activities.
  • Commit to full-time residency in New Haven for the entire program duration (mid-August to mid-December 2026).

While the average Fellow is around 39 years old, there is no specific age limit. What matters most is proven leadership, a strong track record of excellence, and a commitment to making a meaningful difference.

Fellowship Benefits
