The Role: Research Intern, Just Green Technology Transition The Research Intern will support APRI’s ongoing research on the Just Green Technology Transition, a project focused on promoting equitable, sustainable technological change across Africa. This initiative explores how green technologies can drive inclusive growth, mitigate climate risks, and strengthen African economies in a rapidly evolving global energy landscape. As an intern, you will work closely with APRI’s research team to deliver high-quality, data-driven insights that inform both African and European policy communities. Key Responsibilities Conduct in-depth research, writing, and data analysis related to green technology and climate policy in Africa. Support the organization and coordination of workshops, webinars, and virtual events that foster dialogue among policymakers, researchers, and development stakeholders. Contribute to the creation and dissemination of digital content, such as reports, infographics, and policy databases. Provide administrative and operational support to project teams, ensuring smooth implementation of research activities. Collaborate with internal and external partners to enhance the visibility and reach of APRI’s Just Green Technology Transition program. Required Qualifications Completion of postgraduate studies in a relevant discipline such as climate policy, technology policy, trade policy, or economics. Strong analytical and research skills, with demonstrated experience or interest in green technology and sustainable development within the African context. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. A high degree of independence, flexibility, and reliability in managing research tasks and meeting deadlines. Exceptional interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset. Applicants currently residing in Europe must be enrolled in a European university (German: Pflichtpraktikum).
