Who Can Apply?

To be eligible, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  •  Citizenship & residency in one of the eligible countries (see full list below)
  •  Strong academic background
  •  Proficiency in English (for English-taught courses)
  •  Demonstrated motivation for the field of study
  •  Good health
  •  Age preference: Candidates under 30 are preferred

Available Master’s Programs

The following fully funded Master of Science (MSc) programs are available in Hungary:

  • MSc in Aquaculture – Hungarian University of Agriculture and Life Sciences, Szent István Campus, Gödöllő
  • MSc in Animal Husbandry Engineering – University of Debrecen, Faculty of Agricultural and Food Sciences and Environmental Management, Debrecen

Courses will only be offered if the minimum number of students is met.

Application & Selection Process

The selection process consists of two phases:

Phase 1: Pre-Screening by FAO

FAO will review and pre-screen applications before submitting them to the Hungarian Ministry of Agriculture.

Applications must be complete—incomplete submissions will not be considered.

Phase 2: University Selection & Admission

Shortlisted candidates may need to take an English language test.

The selected Hungarian universities will conduct their final admission process. Successful applicants will be notified by both the university and the Ministry of Agriculture.
