Now in its fourth edition, the program supports fashion startups and established brands across the continent with tools to build profitable, sustainable, and globally competitive businesses.

About the Fashionomics Africa Program

The Fashionomics Africa Program is an initiative by AfDB aimed at strengthening Africa’s fashion and textile industry by providing entrepreneurs with access to financing, business development training, and a growing digital marketplace. The program promotes climate-smart business practices, innovation, and economic empowerment in the creative sector.

The 2025 edition offers two tracks designed to support entrepreneurs at different stages of their business journey.

  • For entrepreneurs with more than 3 years of experience
  • Designed for established fashion businesses ready to scale
  • Emphasis on investment readiness, market expansion, and innovation

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible, applicants must:

  • Be based in any African country
  • Own or run a fashion business (design, textiles, fashion tech, etc.)
  • Be committed to building a sustainable and innovative brand
  • Apply for the program track that matches their level of experience

This program is open to fashion entrepreneurs across the continent, whether you’re based in Lagos, Kigali, Accra, Nairobi, or any other African city.
