Applications are now open for the 2026–2028 cohort of the Erasmus Mundus Master’s in Public Policy (Mundus MAPP), a globally recognized and fully accredited two-year master’s program. This prestigious program equips future leaders with the knowledge and skills to address today’s most pressing global and regional policy challenges.

A Global Collaboration in Public Policy Education

Mundus MAPP is an outstanding academic partnership between four top-ranking universities:

  • Central European University (CEU PU) in Austria
  • Institut Barcelona d’Estudis Internacionals (IBEI) in Spain
  • International Institute of Social Studies (ISS), Erasmus University Rotterdam in the Netherlands
  • University of York in the United Kingdom

The program combines world-class teaching, interdisciplinary research, and hands-on policy training to prepare graduates for impactful careers in governance, public management, economics, and development.

Erasmus+ Support and Fully Funded Scholarships

The program is supported by the Erasmus+ initiative of the European Union, offering Erasmus Mundus Joint Master (EMJM) Scholarships to outstanding students worldwide.

Program Structure and Mobility Tracks

Students choose one of four specialized mobility tracks, which determine their area of focus and study sequence across two universities:

  • CEU PU – IBEI Track: Global Public Policy (transnational challenges, governance, and multilateral institutions)
  • CEU PU – University of York Track: European Public Policy (EU governance and comparative analysis)
  • ISS – IBEI Track: Political Economy and Development (development economics and political science)
  • ISS – University of York Track: Governance and Development (state capacity, reform, and development policy)

Each track offers a unique interdisciplinary curriculum, international learning environment, and dual master’s degrees awarded by the participating universities.

Application Requirements

Admissions are centrally managed by CEU PU. Applications must be submitted exclusively via the CEU PU online platform.

Required documents include:

  • Academic transcripts and degree certificates
  • Proof of English proficiency (TOEFL, IELTS, or equivalent)
  • Curriculum vitae (CV)
  • Statement of purpose
  • Two recommendation letters
  • Copy of passport or national ID

Applicants are advised to review CEU PU’s admissions guidelines carefully, including document formatting and translation requirements.
