This fully virtual fellowship is designed to empower 10 selected fellows with hands-on video editing skills while also connecting them to a vibrant network of creators and mentors across the continent. A Fellowship for Africa’s Next Generation of Digital Creators The Flourish Creators Fellowship is more than just a training program—it is a transformative journey that equips aspiring content creators with technical, creative, and professional skills needed to thrive in the digital age. The program targets young Africans between the ages of 18 and 45 who are passionate about video editing and storytelling. Participants will receive two months of intensive training using CapCut, one of the most accessible yet powerful mobile editing tools available today. The fellowship is designed to take participants from beginner to confident video editor, ensuring that they can create engaging, impactful content that resonates with diverse audiences. Training Structure and Learning Experience Over the course of the program, fellows will engage in: Four weeks of live interactive sessions: Two sessions each month will be held on Saturdays at 6 PM (WAT), led by experienced instructors who provide real-time guidance, feedback, and collaboration opportunities. Weekly recorded classes: Self-paced learning materials will allow fellows to practice and build their skills at their convenience. Regular assessments: Participants will complete weekly assignments and assessments before progressing to the next stage, ensuring they master each level of editing techniques. By the end of the program, fellows will be able to edit professional-level videos with creative effects using CapCut. Eligibility Criteria To qualify for the Flourish Creators Fellowship 2025, applicants must: Be citizens of any African country. Be aged between 18–45 years. Have access to CapCut Pro editing software (mobile or desktop). Demonstrate interest in video editing, storytelling, or digital content creation. Have a stable internet connection to attend all live and self-paced sessions. Commit to participating in all fellowship activities, including live classes and assessments.
