Applications Now Open for the Global Fellows in Courage Program Admin, March 7, 2025March 7, 2025 Application Deadline:April 1, 2025 Global Fellows in Courage (GFIC) Program The Global Fellows in Courage (GFIC) program is a six-month virtual accelerator designed to support young social entrepreneurs advancing human rights and gender justice. Participants receive a $2,500 stipend and can compete for up to $10,000 in grant funding. The program offers mentorship, skill-building, and access to a global network of changemakers. About the Program GFIC is hosted in partnership with the Brown University Center for Human Rights and Humanitarian Studies (CHRHS). It supports social entrepreneurs aged 25-35 who are actively working to create meaningful social change. Fellows Gain Access To: Expert Training – A structured online curriculum led by global human rights leaders A Powerful Network – Like-minded changemakers and the Brown University CHRHS alumni community Financial Support – A $2,500 stipend plus the opportunity for up to $10,000 in grants Personalized Mentorship – Guidance from experienced coaches and advisors A Recognized Certificate – From GFIC and Brown University CHRHS Eligibility & Expectations GFIC is designed for emerging leaders with a proven track record in human rights and social entrepreneurship. Eligibility Criteria: Age: 25-35 years old Language: Fluent in English Commitment: Passionate about gender justice For 2025, 45 fellows will be selected, divided into three cohorts of 15. Time Commitment: (Approx. 10-12 hours/month) Two 3-hour virtual sessions per month – Discussions, skill-building, and project development Pre-session work – Readings, videos, and assignments (~2 hours per session) Group & One-on-One Coaching – At least two individual coaching sessions per month Fellowship Project Development – Culminates in a final pitch session Fellowship Projects & Focus Areas Fellows will develop projects that advance human rights and gender justice, such as: Launching new social ventures or programs Organizing large-scale advocacy campaigns Developing policy or legal reform initiatives Creating solutions to address systemic inequalities The GFIC team provides hands-on support to help fellows refine their projects and maximize their impact.
