Admin, January 31, 2026January 31, 2026

Application Deadline: February 27, 2026

Applications are now open for the 2026 Global Africa Gateway Summer Internship Program, a unique partnership between The Africa Center and the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank). This prestigious initiative offers paid internship opportunities designed to equip young Africans—and those in the diaspora—with hands-on professional experience across key sectors driving the continent’s growth.

In a world where youth unemployment remains a pressing challenge, especially across Africa, this initiative stands out as a powerful bridge between education and meaningful work experience. It not only opens doors for global exposure but also connects young talents to real-world challenges in finance, infrastructure, law, commodities, NGOs, and more.

The Global Africa Gateway Internship reflects a growing movement: enabling African youth to take ownership of the continent’s development narrative. By combining cross-border collaboration and mentorship, the program helps nurture the next generation of African leaders ready to make tangible impact.
