Applications Now Open for Digital Rights & Security Training for West African CSOs Admin, May 22, 2025May 22, 2025 Program OverviewThe West Africa Civil Society Institute (WACSI) invites civil society organizations (CSOs) in Ghana, Nigeria, Liberia, Côte d’Ivoire, and Guinea to apply for a capacity-building program on Digital Rights Advocacy, Activism, and Security. This initiative addresses challenges like online censorship, surveillance, misinformation, and digital threats while empowering CSOs to leverage digital tools safely and effectively. Key Details Target: 50 CSOs (10 per country), with two representatives each. Phases: Workshops: Sept–Oct 2025 (in-person, country-specific). Action Planning & Implementation: Nov 2025–Oct 2027 (includes advocacy projects, community outreach, and technical support). Methodology: Interactive sessions, expert presentations, hands-on exercises, and collaboration via a Community of Practice (CoP) for regional advocacy and knowledge-sharing. Objectives Strengthen digital security practices. Enhance advocacy strategies for digital rights. Foster resilience against online threats. Eligibility Legally registered CSOs in target countries.
