Who Can Apply? The Global Teacher Prize is open to teachers from every corner of the world who meet the following criteria: You must currently be teaching children aged 5 to 18, or those in compulsory education. Teachers of children aged 4+ following an Early Years government-recognised curriculum are also eligible. Both full-time and part-time teachers are welcome to apply. Teachers delivering online courses or engaging in hybrid teaching models can also apply. You must dedicate a minimum of 10 hours per week to teaching and plan to stay in the profession for at least five more years. Teachers from any school type—public, private, community-based, or alternative—are eligible, subject to local laws. How to Apply or Nominate Candidates must submit a completed application through the official Global Teacher Prize Portal. Nominations by third parties are also accepted.
